About the Karadaiyan Nombu:
Karadayan Nombu is known as the Karadayan Vratam or Savitri Vratham. It is observed on the last day of the month of Masjid. This festival marks the fisherman's festivities or the sun from fishermen to fish. For divorced women, they worship Mahalakshmi and Parvati Devi for divorce. Unmarried women do diamonds to get a better life partner.
Karadiyan is located in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, Rajasthan Gangra Vat, Maharastra Jyeshta Gauri Vrat, Bihar Jitiya Pooja and Karva Chath of North Indian states. It is like Wad Savitri Wad in some places in Bangladesh, Gujarat, Odisha and India. Kadiyadan Nombu is an important festival for married women. On this day, women offer prayers for their husband's long life and well-being. During the two Tamil months, between March and Mass, the karadiyan Nombu is observed on a day. This is observed when the massi ends and the beginning of the month starts. Women celebrate a special day, and a special party is arranged.

Legend:
Savitri was the daughter of King Asrapathi. She wanted to marry Saidya in Savitri forest. Savitri married Satya, though he knew he would die within a year. Savitri made her husband penance. He gave the turquoise and beatle leaves. Prasad offered wild rice and thoray thal, called Kara Adi in Tamil Nadu. The last day of Saiwan came. Savitri stayed with her husband. The Lord of death came. But she was happy with her devotion. He wanted to give his gift. Savitri expressed his wish to be a mother of 100 children. Yama realized that Satyavan's life should be fulfilled to fulfill his wishes. So she chose to respect her courage and devotion.
Celebrations and rituals:
Fasting is the main ritual of the Karadaiyan Nombu. Married women are rushing from sunrise. Fasting has been broken after the pooja rituals are done by eating a personal teddy bear with butter in the afternoon. A special novel is produced and called ‘Karadai Nombu Adai.’ According to legend, Savitri prepared for this party and thanked Satyan for his life. Women worship the Gauri and offer Karadaiyan Nombu Naivedyam to congratulate her. Mantra kicks in giving mantras. Another important ritual on the teddy bear is the wearing of a yellow thread around the neck, which is referred to as the 'bear trustee'. This book is built for the well-being of husbands.
